What is the AcXess V-Works Demos On-Demand™ service?
The AcXess Virtual Demos On-Demand™ service is used by Sales, Marketing & SE’s for having a fully “live” Demo of your custom or standard Software in the Cloud. AcXess provides this to you on our centralized secure V-Works platform. You choose the custom url (i.e. mysoftware.salesdemos.com) & look and feel of the site for your needs, and then AcXess manages the entire back-end in our AT&T data centers to save you time & money in the sales, training, Proof-of-Concept or integration process.

Can I use my existing Virtual Machine image? Do I have to create one?
Yes, AcXess will work with you to either develop a virtual machine image or convert your current images to work with our V-Works™ Hyper-V platform. We will give you admin rights to install your solution and then we “freeze” a pristine copy so that the Demo image is always available for continued use with consistency and quality for you and your prospects. When you update your Demo on the site, everyone gets it the next time they logon to the system.

Can I send users directly from my company web site for my own demo solution?
Yes, you can capture users from your own website and then send us a GUID (we'll show you how) webservice to start up a standard or custom lab for 30 day trials, etc. Users can even save their work and come back their individual saved lab during the trial - no problem!

Can I build a custom landing page or web site for my solution?
Yes, you can develop the front end with a landing page or site for your custom url, with click-thru downloads or flash as well as up to date demo scripts and then use the Virtual Demo Scheduler™ for scheduling of complete “live” software to interact with and/or demo to prospects & clients.
SharePoint can also be included for all of your team collaboration needs while using or developing on the site.

Can I control access to my site?
Yes, the site can be restricted or open by email domain or other criteria for the ability to register & use. You can also provide specific desktop client & server login policies in the windows environment. We can exclude or include users for controlling traffic and use of the site based on your needs and budget. Advanced personal security can also be achieved with the site.

How many users can I have on my site?
As many as you would like, either with restricted and named multiple remote desktop login or by registered account to the same admin image, the site is sized to your needs of concurrent sessions or how many simultaneous users or Demos you would like to have at peak usage. AcXess will help you determine estimated site capacity with our rule of thumb that has been tested worldwide by major clients such as Microsoft, SAP & Citrix.

How does the calendar/scheduling function work?
In the case of larger multi-user sites, the Virtual Demo Scheduler™ gives you On-Demand access to your virtual machine image based on the number of concurrent user sessions you have budgeted. If no immediate session is available, the scheduler will give you the next available time, or you can schedule a guaranteed timeslot up to 1 month in advance. It’s kind of like scheduling a physical lab or conference room and having everything ready for you ahead of time (servers, OS, base image, database, etc.), and then cleaning it all up for you when you leave, to make it ready for the next user.

Can I get reports of registered users and demo or lab activity?
Yes, the AcXess Virtual Demos On-Demand system provides you with a live reporting function sorted by date, time etc. (or excel download) to show you who is registered with the site, and who is using each specific Demo or Lab image for training and integration, and for how long, so you have up to the minute info for your teams to follow up on.
Use this for tracking partners, sales or certifications, etc.

Can I save my work on a virtual machine image and use it later?
Yes, the AcXess service also has a “saved state” option, which has become a very versatile tool over the last couple of years, because each image can be customized and saved (secure based on your registered acct) for personal use on a Demo presentation later, with each original Virtual Machine image reset automatically for the next scheduled session, so you always have a consistent experience for each new Demo or training session online.

What else can I use my virtual Demo site for?
The sky’s the limit! AcXess will work with you on any custom image or project to find the most efficient and cost effective way to get you what you need to do your job better.

How many Students can I have on my site?

How does the V-lab calendar/scheduling function work?
In the case of larger multi-user sites, the Virtual Lab Scheduler™ gives you On-Demand access to your Student V-labs based on the number of concurrent student sessions you have budgeted. Then you can add 2 or 3 times the number of students to your class for the same price! If no immediate V-lab is available, the scheduler will give the student the next available time after class to complete their lab, so you can always schedule a guaranteed timeslot. It’s kind of like scheduling a physical lab or conference room and having everything ready for you ahead of time (servers, OS, base image, database, etc.), and then cleaning it all up for you when you leave, to make it ready for the next user.

Can I get reports of registered Students and demo or lab activity?
Yes, the AcXess V-Works Training On-Demand system provides you with a live reporting function sorted by date, time etc. (or download) to show you which students have been using the site, and who is using each specific Demo or Lab image for training and integration, and for how long, so you have up to the minute info for your teams to follow up on.
Use this for tracking partners, sales or certifications, etc.

Can students save their work in each class and use it later?
Yes, in the case of multi-class and multi-teired labs, the AcXess V-Works cloud service also has a “saved state” option where each student lab can be customized and saved so the student can continue where they left off in the previous class.
